1InterceptionsMinnesota’s defense won the matchup
MIN D/ST supplied the game’s defining fantasy result, repeatedly disrupting Chicago’s quarterbacks and protecting a narrow victory. The Bears reached more yardage but could not convert possessions into points, leaving Minnesota’s defense as the most reliable unit on either roster.
02 / The takeaway
23CarriesAaron Jones was the offensive anchor
Jones supplied the only sustained rushing production, handling a commanding workload and clearing the century mark without needing a touchdown. His limited route participation keeps the receiving ceiling uncertain, but this was an emphatic early-down role.
03 / The takeaway
16CarriesChicago’s backfield remained usable despite the loss
D’Andre Swift led Chicago in touches and receiving work, but Kyle Monangai was materially involved and more efficient on the ground. Swift’s receiving role preserved a PPR contribution; the lost fumble remains the costly blemish in a low-scoring environment.
A defensive game with little quarterback reward
Carson Wentz managed the game rather than driving a passing eruption, completing 11 passes for 143 passing yards without a passing touchdown. He added 3 carries for 6 rushing yards, while taking 3 sacks. Caleb Williams had more movement value, with 5 carries for 42 rushing yards, but his passing line stalled at 15 completions for 138 passing yards, no passing touchdowns and 1 passing interception. Tyson Bagent’s relief work was similarly limited: 5 completions for 54 passing yards across 9 attempts. Neither quarterback room produced a secure fantasy starter from this contest.
